Are you a blogger?  You might be seasoned or just starting up, but here is a revitalizing thought for you:

You can share the radical news of Jesus with any page view, visitor, and post!  

And it's soooo ridiculously easy!

Social media is becoming increasingly influential (no surprise there) and our God is up with the times, using it for His glory.  Blogging is no exception.

If you know anything about the blogosphere, mommy blogs are hot! You already know that moms love to connect and support each other through online communities. Christian bloggers and readers can be more missional in reaching this very large network of moms.

Readers, are you making friends online through the blogs you read? Do you look for opportunities to gently bring spiritual perspective to a topic in your comments? Maybe you prefer to make friendships and then exchange email addresses or phone numbers with a new friend so you can share God’s love and the Gospel one-on-one?  Do you have a story about someone you were able to touch for Christ that you can share with us?

1. Picmonkey is great for making meme's, facebook covers, collages or designing blog buttons. You can do pretty much anything. Here's some examples.

2. Button Code Generator. This makes turning your blog button into code super duper easy. Basically it does it for you. All you have to do is design your button using picmonkey, upload it to photobucket and then use the direct link from the image to plug into the button code generator.

I had been blogging consistently for 2 years when the Lord led me to change directions. I was asking Him what He wanted with my blog and how it can better glorify Him. And the thoughts He put in my head were much different than anything I had ever dreamed up. How He was leading me meant letting go of what I knew, expected, and was comfortable with. He led me turn my blog Beholding Glory into Missional Women, this contributor site. (Here's more on how the Lord led me.) Something you'll soon read is way out of my comfort zone. So after 2 years, I re-lauched and had a fresh blog start.

5 things I learned from my flesh blog start.

I have a total of two house plants. One, my husband waters on a consistent basis. The other, both of us forget to water and is slowly on its way out. These plants are evidence of the principle that whatever you feed grows. Just as there are general principles in life, "If you churn cream, you will produce butter. If you twist a nose, you will produce blood. And if you stir up anger, you will produce a fight." (Prov.30:33) there are also general principles for blogging and seeing God build traffic.

1. Be Faithful with little
The desire to have a giant blogging presence without the effort and hard work and years of perseverance can be tempting. Yet the Lord says in Matthew 25, talking about the stewarship of talents, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things..." We can generally expect that sustained blog traffic wont increase by thousands of followers overnight without being faithful with what we've been given. And we can generally expect that overtime the Lord will bless hard work and perseverance.
