Doing full time ministry for 20 years and now training other women how to lead women's ministries; leading over 40 Bible studies and discipling over 200 women one on one, I saw a common theme in the needs of women, to be able to do something with their faith. For growth only comes when we take steps of faith rather than stay in our comfort zone. I've seen women's ministries put on events but still the women didn't grow in living out the Great Commission.
Over the span of many years and looking into many options, I saw a need for training women in how to actually lead a women's ministry. Training that is practical, not theoretical. Training that actually helped women know how to put the pieces together and actually get to the point they were lead others in living out the very purpose and calling of God on their life rather than just being told they should.
I have had the opportunity to train women in this at women's conferences and retreats where the overwhelming response was women saying how helpful it was to finally feel like they had tracks to run on and didn't have to be controlled by the tyranny of the urgent or stuck in doing the same thing that's always been done.
I believe there is a ton of joy and fulfillment in doing things you know are going to impact eternity. I want to help women experience that. I want to come along side women's ministry leaders and help them be wise investors in what they have been entrusted. I want to take the fear out of how to lead and what to do and instill courage to lead with confidence.
But I know it's hard to get this training. It's a struggle to gather up not only the cost of the conference or find a college coarse. And I also have readers from 180 different countries, so having them come to a conference is not very realistic. So I thought, why not go to them? Why not film right in my very own home and give the information I share at conferences personally and have it be able to be accessed in a time frame that works for them.
