There was a time during my college years where I had isolated myself from everyone. I was around people all the time, friends even, but I had shut myself off from engaging on a real level with them because of an unhealthy relationship I was in. A relationship the Lord made very clear to me from the beginning He didn't want me in. I chose my own independent way and it led to death. I thought the only way out of my self dug hole was to die. But God stepped in and saved me from myself. He opened my eyes to the mission He gave me of making disciples and put opportunities in front of me to live it out. I took little steps with my mustard seed of faith and God stepped in to show Himself awesome. He let me see many girls surrender their life to Him and helped me lead my first ever Bible study. I saw these girls hearts and lives change as the Holy Spirit worked inside them. I began living as though God, and making Him known, was my purpose in life and it gave me reason to not give up on life. God has given you purpose and a very specific mission. Are you living it? You don't want to get to the end of your life and realize you wasted it. That would just stink. So here is a helpful video explaining what the difference is between mission and purpose and how your specific unique giftings and strengths and stage of life fit in.

You have nailed one of the most potentially crippling regrets, that of coming to the end of our life and realized that we missed the mark and have used up all our time. Scary, for sure.

I especially appreciate how, in the video, you showed Jesus not allowing people to pull Him so far into His uniqueness that it would pull Him away from His purpose and mission. Just the insight I need right at this moment! Great helpful post! Thanks and God bless!

I remember a time in my life where I too isolated myself from everyone. I believed that because I was unable to have children I had no other purpose for living. It was a scary time indeed.
