Isaiah 43:10 says "You are my witnesses, declares the Lrod and my servant whom I have chosen SO THAT you may know and believe me and understand that I am he..."
That is so beautiful! We get to brag on Him and His work in our lives... that we would know, and believe and understand who He is more. And... Mt. 11:28-30 says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and larn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. for my yoke is easy and my burden is light." So when our view of God becomes bigger and more true to the reality of who He is, we experience rest in the deepest part of who we are. Ahhhh. Like a cool drink of sweet tea on a hot day. So putting these together, when we brag on God, it expands our view of God which in turn gives us rest b/c we trust Him more. Today I was a bit overwhelmed with the impossible task before me. My piddly efforts of trying to put AMP before the 50,000 students on the Auraria, Red Rocks and Art Institute campuses has been a drop in a bath tub. I have spent all my resources and that was all I could do, a drop. I am grateful that has called me to impossible tasks b/c I love to see Him come through as He did for Jonothan and his armor-bearer. But the last few days I have felt more of the impossibility than the 'cant wait to see God show up'. But on the way to campus this morning I heard the song "You Are" by Philips, Craig and Dean. They sing You are unchangable, unshakable... and then the doosie.... UNSTOPABLE. Oh, how refreshing! God is unstopable! Nothing can stop Him from making Himself known on these campuses. He will do as He promises in Isaiah (verses I believe He gave me these verses to pray for these places) 45:2 "I will go before you and will level the mountains (perhaps like circumstances that would keep students from hearing about Christ); I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron (perhaps like strongholds/lies students are believing that keep them from trusting, turning and surrendering to Christ). I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, SO THAT (there it is again) you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name." 45:8, 24 "let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the Lord, have created it...They will say of me, In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength." Oh, let it be true on these campuses Lord.
