Watching the Beautiful PursuitGod's pursuit after the hearts of people is breath-taking. Listen to this pusuit taking place right now. But first a little background: *The college campus Austin and I reach out and minister to students on is the biggest one in Colorado with 40,000 and has hundreds of students from all over the world even the most closed nations-places like Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iran, Morroco, China etc. *The couple I am going to tell you about we have become very connected with so I can not share their names or location since it could lead to their death if their families found out. So sorry for the vagueness. Austin was on campus doing a spiritual interest picture survey to meet new students. At one point there were international students from Turkey, a couple from Iran and Saudi around him talking and doing the survey. One of the couples he really clicked with and invited to our house for a dinner and discussion night with other students. They got lost and after a 2 or 3 hour bus ride arrived during the discussion. Since that night they have been pretty involved with us, going on a retreat, the weekly meeting another D & D night. Austin and I both have got to share the gospel with them. One big connection made. While on campus, they ran into another campus ministry that works specifically with international students. They go to thier lunch outreach each week and the director (Ben, who we are friends with) gave them a Bible in thier own language. Another amazing connection! Then God runs them into another ministry lady on campus (now, just to be clear, on our campus of 40,000 there are only 5 ministries) who gears her ministry toward muslims. They had a very long conversation and she gave them a tract sharing the gospel in a way muslims can understand in thier own language. God's pursuit is hot! About this time the couple finds out the school can not give them as much money as they promised and they were going to have to return home. We prayed and we asked others to pray and God came through in providing. They recieved all the funds they needed for him to stay in school. And the Lord's pursuit continues. Austin remembered that while we lived in Durango, we knew a guy from this couples country who was a believer, then he remembered the guy had moved to Denver. He tracked him down and found out that his wife leads worship at the only (thier nationality) church in Denver which happens to be right by thier house! But before we had a chance to take them, the student had a trip he had to go on for school. He is there right now and Austin just got off the phone with him and the pusuit turns red hot! This guys roomate for the conference invited him to go to church with him that morning. Guess where?! John Pipers church and he talked about what God is doing in muslims lives all over the world. Amazing! I love that the Lord is letting us clearly get to see His very clear pursuit of this sweet couple. A glimpse of His passionate, radical love for us. Just the way He is pursuing this couple, He pursued me and you. Oh Lord You are amazing! I can't wait to see what happens! If you enjoyed this posts, can I humbly request you to share it or follow? Yes we can really say He is the "hound" of heaven! "I am he who thou seekest" is from the poem by Francis Thompson.
