I am grateful that Tracy from My Daily Walk in His Grace agreed to be my guest today. I love her desire to point people to God and her love for His Word. And I think it's pretty cool that she is from South Africa! Partnering for the glory of God across the globe. Sweet! Thank you for your encouragement for us today Tracy! Laura invited me to guest post and I am very honoured to do so. This is the first time I have been invited to guest post so, Laura - thank you for making me feel so special and for this awesome opportunity. A bit about me: Well, I'm an ordinary girl, a wife for 23 yrs, a mom to 2 teenagers, a relative to a few and most importantly, a child of God. I work for my husband, and generally mom's taxi for the balance of the time. I live in Cape Town, South Africa and as my children are getting older looking for ways to become more involved in my surounding communities. I am amazed and blessed by all the friends I am making in the bloggy world. I am encouraged by you ladies daily and my heart's desire is that I encourage you too. God uses our BrokennessIn the doctor's waiting room the other day I read this story in a magazine: A woman carried a stick over her back, with a bucket balanced in either side. She did this every day to go collect water for her village. One bucket was whole and when collecting water, it always remained full. It was pleased with itself as it felt it was doing its job right! The other bucket had a crack in it and when collecting water, by the time the woman was back in her village, a third of the water was lost. This bucket felt shame, as it felt it was faulty and wasteful. After 2 years of this the bucket spoke to the woman. "I feel so bad and useless as I feel I am not doing my job properly. Why do you persist in using me?" The old woman replied, "I have always been aware of your fault. Do you see that there are beautiful flowers on the side of the path that you are on? I knew of your fault, I knew you leaked water, so I planted seeds along the path and for the last 2 years you have been watering them. You have been used to create beauty and I enjoy walking that path because of the beauty." Isn't that profound? We think we are cracked and broken and of no use to God. But He is aware of our faults and He places us where those faults can be used to bring beauty and healing into the lives of others. My encouragement to you - KNOW that God is aware of your brokenness, and KNOW that He uses it for beauty. You may never know how you have touched someone with your testimony, or your journey through your brokenness, but have faith to know you do, and it brings glory to God. This is my Brag on God - He uses us no matter what faults we have.
God bless Tracy

I love this...and I love Tracy. And I love God, for using me in my brokenness. Somehow, this makes me feel a bit better about my cracks.

Yes! How often do we silently think we are unfit or underqualified?
