And currently I am writing my way through Judges sharing glimpses of God's heart and character for a weekday devotional. To check out the entire series so far head on over the the Judges Devotional. "God heard Manoah, and the angel of God came again to the woman while she was out in the field; but her husband Manoah was not with her." Judges 13:9 Do you have someone in your life you have been praying for for a long time? I'm going on 15 or 16 years for some people I care for dearly who I really want to come to know the Lord. Sometimes it feels impossible, like they are just not within God's reach. But then I remember how God has answered so many prayers in the past. I prayed for my dad to come to know Christ for 14 years and he did! We now have great conversations about what God is challenging us to trust Him with and he is such an encouragement to me to walk by faith. I had no idea God was going to allow me to have a dad who was an example of someone who actively trusted the Lord. And Austin's sister prayed for Austin for years before he turned the control of his life over to Jesus. She honestly thought he was a lost cause. He was heavily involved with the drug and party scene and had it all. But specific things she prayed for God brought into reality. She prayed he would move across the street from a church and he did. That someone would invite him to that church, and they did. That someone in the church would invite him to get more invovled, and they did. Prayer after prayer was answered until he went to college and a college missionary sat down with him over lunch and spelled out the gospel for him. He surrendered his life to Christ and was radically changed from the inside out. Later on he became the worship leader at church. Heather came to visit and during the worship time her face streamed with grateful tears. Her brother who seemed impossible for God to reach was leading worship right before her very eyes. God does the impossible. Manoah prayed, God answered. We get to pray to a God who hears and responds. So if you have been praying for someone in your life for a long time, don't give up. We serve a God who answers. Have you heard about the Uniquely Made Women's Conference and the FREE Kindle Fire giveaway? Head on over toUniquelyMadeConference.com to find out.
