Brag on God Friday

It's All About Him

God loves! He loves me, and you. Not because we are so great, but because He is. What a relief! I know there is a lot about me that is not lovable. Oh how I don't deserve it.

It's not about me and it's refreshing.

God uses us to glorify Himself. Not because of how great we are, but because of how great He is. So freeing. I can cease striving and know that He is God. There is room for my failure in His bigness. And I'm glad I don't walk alone but march along with the unqualified.

I got to speak Tuesday to a group on one of my favorite things this week, heaven (and hell-but that is definately not a favorite.) Students were encouraged, me amazed. It blows my mind how God can take the imperfect, the flawed, the forgetful and use them to encourage and inspire. To do something eternal through the finite. How crazy is that!? We seriously have a truly Amazing and Outstanding God!

The beauty of inadequacy draws me.
The more we see God as He truly is, the more we see ourselves as we truly are. Inadequate made adequate by Him. Insuffiecient given sufficiency through Him. Unholy, unrighteous yet made holy and made righteous through the blood of Christ.

We are not, yet He Is.
May we make less and less of ourselves and more and more of Jesus.

It's always so exciting to me to think about how God is being made known all across the world through our partnership! Awesome!
