"You are my witnesses, declares the Lord and my servant whom I have chosen SO THAT you may know and believe me and understand that I am he..." Isaiah 43:10 That is so beautiful! We get to brag on Him and His work in our lives. The result? Knowing Him more. It reminds me of Philemon 6, "I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ." "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. for my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 When our view of God becomes bigger and more true to the reality of who He is, we experience rest in the deepest part of who we are. Like a cool drink of sweet tea on a hot day. So putting these together, when we brag on God, it expands our view of God which in turn gives us rest because we trust Him more. It's easy to get overwhelmed with the impossible tasks set before us. At times I feel like I have spent all my resources and it was only a drop in a bucket. (Do you relate?) But then I remember God called us to the impossible. It's then we get to see Him come through as He did for Jonothan and his armor-bearer, David, Moses, Paul, Joseph, Abigail... Philips, Craig and Dean have a song called "You Are". They sing, You are unchangable, unshakable... and then the doosie.... UNSTOPABLE. Oh, how refreshing! God is unstopable! Nothing can stop Him... nothing. When He wants to do something, He does it. Nobody or any created thing can thwart His plans. Does this bewilder you as it does me? Why this and why that come to mind. It's humbling. I am put in my place that His ways truly are higher than mine. His plans are truly things I can't begin to imagine. He will do as He promises in Isaiah 45:2, "I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, SO THAT (there it is again) you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name." 45:8, 24 "let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the Lord, have created it...They will say of me, In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength." Yes Lord! Find rest for your soul with me and spend some time bragging on God. Photo Credit KristinaBrag on God Friday's is a link up to brag about God. I love that God is a mountain flattener - now to just learn how to follow behind him instead of running ahead and getting stuck up mountains I was never meant to climb!

Such an encouraging post! Yes, God is UNSTOPABLE!! I've had the awesome opportunity to brag on God several times over the past few days. It has been a blessing to share with my daughter and friends...and even a loan officer today, what God has done. These opportunities weren't forced or calculated. They were simply dropped in my lap! But that is the way God works, isn't it? And you are so right. When we share our faith and the blessings God has shown us, our own faith grows stronger. Thanks for the encouraging post!

That verse is great. I never saw the part that said our witnessing about Him will grow our faith. How marvelous!
