Lord, please use the Batman shooting to reveal something about Yourself that would otherwise not be understood. Comfort the families of the 12 who have lost their earthly lives. You say "this is my comfort in my affliction that Your Word has revived me." Would you bring verses to their minds that would comfort them. And cause many to think about You and get right with You through this. Oh Lord, bring us to our knees as a nation. Help us see our hearts so far from perfection and prone to selfishness, evil. Help us turn to You as the source of hope, the One who changes hearts which changes actions. Help us be quick to turn to You and run from temptation, since it is so obvious that sin leads to death. Lord, this shooting did not catch You by surprise. You did not cause this, though You allowed it for Your good plan. You are very involved which each individual affected. You are drawing them to You, comforting, caring for, doing whats in the best interest for each person. Lord reveal Yourself through this. Does that shooting make sense? Not at all! But yes maybe in God's master quilt, it puts a dark shade to make the bright colors come out. We just have to trust Him! Patsy from <br /><a href="http://patsypat.blogspot.com"

Thank for this prayer. I weep as I read through.... the shootings have not been far from my thoughts every hour of every day since... and I know for those intimately affected, the reality will never leave. May God bring comfort, peace, and rest to weary souls as only He can.
