Have you ever felt uncertain of what God wanted? Or perhaps you knew what He wanted but just really really didn't want to do it? I know God wants us in Durango. At least most of the time I know that. He gave me Scripture to cling to for when it got hard but when circumstances don't come together combined with a not really wanting to, it gets hard. In my life God seems to like to wait to the last moment before He comes through and when He does, it's pretty awesome. But this time the last moment came and went, or at least what I thought was the last moment and it was still so unclear. We didn't have an offer on our house. My faith tore and thoughts flooded my mind, "Maybe this isn't what God wants." "Maybe He just doesn't want us to move now." It was so unclear and like the daytime concealing the stars, we could not see the plan of God. Then I remember what I had just read, 2 Kings 6. In this chapter there are three parts or stories that each illustrate how God seems to like to use crisis to increase our faith and show Himself great. Then three days later when we were driving and talking about what to do, we got two text messages within a minute of each other, pieces of the puzzle coming together. The first message was that we had an offer on our house! The second was that we were needed in Durango by the 23rd of August to help teach. It was like the stars shone bright and my faith muscle was being built stronger than before. God took me to the point where my faith ended or tore like a muscle needing to grow and extended it. What a great God that can and will use circumstances to help us glorify Him better! ![]() Laura, the founder of Missional Women is married and has six kids, two of whom are adopted. Oh, why is it God often comes through at the 11th hour? So love reading your family's faithfulness to follow despite how you feel! Oh might our obedience & desire to serve Him, always outshine our want-to's.
