Faith Filled Friday

Blogging Friends! Hello & Welcome! 

I was reading Nehemiah 3 yesterday morning and I wanted to relay how God encouraged me. 

Eliashib the high priest and his fellow priests began rebuilding the Sheep Gate. They dedicated it and installed its doors. After building the wall to the Tower of the Hundred and the Tower of Hananel, they dedicated it. The men of Jericho built next to Eliashib, and next to them Zaccur son of Imri built.
-Nehemiah 3:1-2

The text goes on to list specfic people with specfic jobs all dedicating their time, talent and treasure to the Lord. With every completed repair they took a moment to re-dedicate their work to the Lord. 

What if, my blogging friends, we took 2017 in baby steps. And with each new project we finish we re-dedicated it (and ourselves) to the Lord. 

I'm not sure about you, but I think that blogging can easily become a to-do list. Make this graphic, e-mail these people, create this resource and so-on. But what if we did a throne check with every completed project. We surrendered our will to His. 

If we do this I would make the leap to say that not only will our to-do lists seem more manageable, but that God will be able to work with our availbility and faithfulness all the more.
