We just started Galatians in the MissionalWomen app and I'm using the brand new Galatians journal that walks through the 6 P's and I am LOVING it. God's Word is just so powerful. I love how you can read the same thing over and over and the Lord can use it to speak to right where you're at.
Everyday this week the Lord keeps pointing out practical ways to trust Him with my kids. For instance God had a plan for Paul's life from the womb but by his early years you would never know it. He brought about so much pain and suffering and evil. He killed Christians for goodness sake. Yet, this was all allowed as part of God's plan so that He would be more glorified. God sees that pain, suffering and evil serve a bigger purpose. A couple of my kids tend to be on the act first, think about it later side. They are self-pleasers with a flare for the dramatic. My hope is that they would not have to experience pain and would be able to be self-controlled and live for Jesus rather than ending up in jail. But the Lord reminded me that His plan just may involve pain and suffering in their life. And as much as I would hate that, He will be glorified. That gives me hope. The Lord also has kept bringing to mind how everything good is a gift from Him. The ability to understand the Gospel is only possible because He helps our brains and hearts understand. What a gracious God!
We exist to glorify God, to display His heart and character. And I just love how we are all uniquely built to do that. So every Friday I want to give you, uniquely designed by God, an opportunity to link up your thoughts on God, art, baking, photography, parenting, marriage, homeschooling, writing or blogging and more if they tie into or display the Lord somehow.
Here's how it works. 1. Link up as many blog posts as you want below by clicking the link below and following the prompts. (Perhaps think of old posts you want more exposure to as well as new ones.) 2. Let your readers know by including a link at the bottom of your post (or somewhere on your side bar) or paste my button code (found below and on the side bar). 3. Take a minute to visit and comment on another sweet lady or two's post. You're encouragement might be just what she needs to keep pressing on in being a voice in the darkness.

I often find myself astounded with the reasoning of God and marvel, too, at Paul's change. If God can turn Saul into Paul, there is hope for each one of us who are eager to walk the Damascus Road and be met by the Savior, changed for His glory. :) Thanks for hosting the link up faithfully and opening the door to continued encouragement.

Blessings, Laura! I was blessed by your mini-recap of Galatians thus far. How powerful God's Word is to transcend generations and cultures and times and seasons. I'm sharing a great give-away of the first Drama and Derring-Do book, discipleship tools for the family with a Wild West theme--diggin' for Gold in God's Word. My husband and I have performed these stories in family ministry for years and the Lord has finally shown me how to make them broadly available in print form for homeschool families and churches. His Word and promises never void!!

Laura, Thanks for saying it out loud: God's plan for our children may involve pain and suffering in their lives. We don't have to like it, but if we try to stop it, we thwart God's purposes for them. God used you to affirm what I had been thinking for some time. Many blessings!
