You've probably heard we need to guard our heart. What does that mean? Proverbs 4:23 shows us guarding your heart means being careful of the influences we expose yourself to, cautious of what you spend time thinking about. Why? Because it sets the course of your life. What you spend your time thinking about sinks into your heart and you'll get more and more attached to it. Then you end up putting your time and energy toward what you're are attached to. I think we not only need to guard our heart but direct it. For me to stay focused on the mission Jesus has given not only to me but to every believer, I need to continually put the mission and the need for the mission before me. I need to make sure I'm watching videos, listening to podcasts, reading books... anything to continually remind me of what I'm actually called to be doing as a Christian. Because vision leaks. Has your vision for the mission leaked? Here's a reminder of the great need. The need to make disciples of all nations. And just to be hearers and not doers is the goal right. So if you're not going, let's be praying. I just love Joshua Projects Unreached people groups app. It shows you a different people group to pray for and tells you things to pray and there's even a little button you can click when you've prayed and see how many others have prayed that day too. (So my dorky like to cross things off a list side comes out). Check out the app by clicking the app below and lets keep the global mission of God before our eyes continually. We exist to glorify God, to display His heart and character. And I just love how we are all uniquely built to do that. So every Friday I want to give you, uniquely designed by God, an opportunity to link up your thoughts on God, art, baking, photography, parenting, marriage, homeschooling, writing or blogging and more if they tie into or display the Lord somehow. So go ahead and link up below by clicking the link below and following the prompts. Please just let your readers know by including a link at the bottom of your post (or somewhere on your side bar) or put my button code (found below and on the side bar) so they can find these other great people glorifying God and we can continue to grow as a community. Thanks! And in effort to encourage others in their writing by faith, please take a minute to comment on another sweet lady's post.
