So if you've read any of my books you probably know I have a passion for helping others take initiative to use their uniqueness for the glory of God and the mission He's called us to. I get fired up about it because it's a deep work the Lord has done in my heart and I see is such huge need in our little Christian culture that likes to wait to be asked. But the reality is, it is hard. It's hard to get wisdom and it's hard to be a good steward of investing the things the Lord has given to invest in eternity. And quite frankly it's not very validating. So often I long to be asked instead of being the one taking initiative. But really, our validation should come from the Lord and not from someone else thinking we're worth being asked. So Sally's new book Own Your Life is like a matching heart-beat to my own. What a privilege we get to live in the same time period as such a wise and godly lady who is willing to share the truth's the Lord has written on her heart. Her's the video she did for the launch of her book with Crystal Paine, Sarah Mae and Angela Perritt Here's a little about the book: Do you ever long for days full of joy and energy – days that bring out the best version of you? In a world that’s moving fast, it’s easy to lose your sense of purpose. Sally Clarkson’s Own Your Life offers a breath of fresh air into the life and soul of busy women. Like a faithful friend, Sally journeys with you to explore what it means to live meaningfully, follow God truly, and bring much-needed order to your chaos. Each page offers deeply personal, authentic, and practical guidance to help you build an intentional life. Discover what it means to own your life. And dare to trust God’s hands as He richly shapes your character, family, work, and soul. Read more about Sally and the book We exist to glorify God, to display His heart and character. And I just love how we are all uniquely built to do that. So every Friday I want to give you, uniquely designed by God, an opportunity to link up your thoughts on God, art, baking, photography, parenting, marriage, homeschooling, writing or blogging and more if they tie into or display the Lord somehow. Here's how it works. 1. Link up as many blog posts as you want below by clicking the link below and following the prompts. (Perhaps think of old posts you want more exposure to as well as new ones.) 2. Let your readers know by including a link at the bottom of your post (or somewhere on your side bar) or paste my button code (found below and on the side bar). 3. Take a minute to visit and comment on another sweet lady or two's post. You're encouragement might be just what she needs to keep pressing on in being a voice in the darkness.
