Still unpacking here in the desert (which is just not easy with 6 little ones you're homeschooling). My heart longs to be settled but then I realize that feeling is often there in one way or another. The feeling of completion and arrival, the feeling of being settled. But perhaps that longing will never be fulfilled, or at least isn't supposed to be fulfilled until heaven our real home. It's easy to let my heart long for where I'm not with my eyes set on something in this life rather than the one to come. The temptation to look for the 4 A's (adoration, approval, acceptance and affirmation) in things here and now rather than my tender, compassionate, caring and loving Father is just within my reach. So each days it's my prayer to enjoy the Lord and walk by faith where He has me now, moving step by step into the settled knowing my longing will never be fulfilled until I get to see my Father face to face.
And meanwhile we had some visitors...
We exist to glorify God, to display His heart and character. And I just love how we are all uniquely built to do that. So every Friday I want to give you, uniquely designed by God, an opportunity to link up your thoughts on God, art, baking, photography, parenting, marriage, homeschooling, writing or blogging and more if they tie into or display the Lord somehow.
Here's how it works. 1. Link up as many blog posts as you want below by clicking the link below and following the prompts. (Perhaps think of old posts you want more exposure to as well as new ones.) 2. Let your readers know by including a link at the bottom of your post (or somewhere on your side bar) or paste my button code (found below and on the side bar). 3. Take a minute to visit and comment on another sweet lady or two's post. You're encouragement might be just what she needs to keep pressing on in being a voice in the darkness. About Laura

Laura, how I understand that longing! It seems like there's always one more project, one more thing to organize, before things will be settled. I know you're right, the real longing of our hearts is for our true home! Praying you'll achieve some degree of "settled" soon in the here and now. Thanks for hosting!

So thankful to find this and all these precious sisters in the Lord. For a long time I've felt kind of isolated in the blog world and to find other sisters in Christ here is so awesome.
