I'm an idea person. But thankfully one of my strengths (according to strengths finder-have you done that? I got a lot out of it) is focus. Basically meaning that if something doesn't fit into the main overall point it gets nixed. I think it's God's way of keeping me sane. I can't imagine all the ideas without ability to sort the good from the best. Anyway, I have an idea... But I need your help. It fits in with our mission and I like it but... I'm not sure if it's a felt need. Basically I'm not sure if other people think its a good idea or if it's just me. That's where you come in. Would you give me your opinion in the comments? Ok. Here it is. A Missional Women app for iphone and android. It would have recent articles, Bible studies day by day, the Bible and journal, talks, the discipleship groups stuff (like training and videos and discipleship material). I am hoping a supporter would want to support the app monthly so it could be free to everyone. So if it was free, would you want an app like that? And what other things would you like to do on/with the app? Thank you for your help!! We exist to glorify God, to display His heart and character. And I just love how we are all uniquely built to do that. So every Friday I want to give you, uniquely designed by God, an opportunity to link up your thoughts on God, art, baking, photography, parenting, marriage, homeschooling, writing or blogging and more if they tie into or display the Lord somehow. So go ahead and link up below by clicking the link below and following the prompts. Please just let your readers know by including a link at the bottom of your post (or somewhere on your side bar) or put my button code (found below and on the side bar) so they can find these other great people glorifying God and we can continue to grow as a community. Thanks! And in effort to encourage others in their writing by faith, please take a minute to comment on another sweet lady's post. I have to admit, Laura, that I do not have a cell phone that supports apps! Yes, I know, but all I do with my phone is flip it open and talk! : ) But I do have a Nook HD (Android) so I would consider using it there. But ... I use it mainly for the children I tutor. So I probably would be a rare user. The idea sounds good, but not for me.

I have many apps on my phone and iPad and only use a few. I prefer going right to the websites, personally. And if it's a site I know I'll go to often I simply bookmark it.

Hi Laura, an app would be great from the point of view that it makes it much easier to connect with your content on a mobile device. I always prefer to install an app for the websites that I need to access or use regularly. However, I would say that our phones can get quickly cluttered and full with apps and now more than ever I guess people are becoming more selective with what they install. Developing an app can be costly so my opinion would be to work out how useful the functionality will be for your readers via an app compared to visiting your website. Thanks for your lovely linkup!

I agree with you, the app would be great. It's always nice to have access to Missional Woman wherever I am. I realize I could go online on my phone, but isn't an app easier?

I think an app is a great idea. I'm 19, and just recently subscribed to your emails and stuff. But I think with people in my generation that an app would be a better way to spread Missional women. And get Gods word out there. I think it would be great!

Yes! Great idea. RZIM has a great app that I use daily. Redeemer church in NYC is another of my favorites. This would definitely help to spread The Word especially among the younger generation.

I like the idea of an app. I can't say how much I'd use it though, perhaps a lot at first and then tail off as seems to happen with most apps I have downloaded...

I use the YouVersion Bible app on my phone and really like it, but I can use it on my PC, too, when I'm home, they sync together. You may consider that when designing your app. I don't have many apps, but the Bible app and the Kindle app I use the most. I would definitely use yours, Laura! Great idea!

Thanks Dawn. I'm so grateful for peoples thoughts and opinions because of course most ideas I think of that fit with the mission I love... but I need some reality people who can say 'Laura... just not a good idea.' lol. Probably one of the many reasons the Lord brought my husband and I together. :)
