The new year holds fresh promise. Have you quieted your heart and tuned in to His voice regarding His plans for you this year? Ask Him to give you a verse as your theme and then memorize it. Here are some of our favorite verses filled with hope as we move forward looking to Jesus as our Deliverer. 5 Promises for the New Year1. God delights in you. The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” 2. God is watching over your life. "The Lord will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." (Psalm 121:7-8) 3. God gives good gifts. "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." ( James 1:17) 4. Your suffering has a grander purpose. "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." (Romans 8:18) 5. God will make a way for you through the wilderness. "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." (Isaiah 43:19) Let's Chat: What promise are you clinging to in the new year? About Lyli

That verse in Isaiah . . . 1/12/2018 11:04:00 am
Me, too! God gave me that verse during one of my most difficult years of ministry and personal crisis back when I was still a single gal in my 30's. It carried me on a daily basis until my heavy heart started to lift. Every time I read it, I remember how He made a way for me then... and I know He will do it again and again and again. So thankful! 1/12/2018 06:43:56 am
Great promises! God is leading us in a new direction so, I'm trusting Him for wisdom each step of the way. Thanks for hosting and have a blessed week-end! 1/12/2018 11:05:32 am
I am reading I Kings right now, Donna. Wisdom is the word of the week, and it was so lovely to see it again here in your comments. I am thankful God has given us His truth to teach us which way to go and to walk in wisdom. 1/12/2018 09:27:16 am
I don't think of God's promises enough, I'm afraid. I trust His love and overall "enough-ness" but this list is encouraging and I will ask Him to write them on my heart, as I am on His. 1/13/2018 08:14:10 am
I'm happy to read all 5 of these promises! At the moment, I'm not feeling well physically, so #4 particularly appeals to me. :) I love trusting that suffering has meaning. Comments are closed.
