Embracing God with the life you never expected; A study of women in the Bible
As I sat in a coffee shop planning and blogging I couldn't help but overhear the conversation the girl working there was having with her friend. I guess it wasn't much of a conversation since she did all the talking, telling her friend the college classes she was going to take in the fall. She explained that since she was late in registering there were only two classes to choose from, Women of the Bible and something about Rocks and Soil. As she explained how Women of the Bible would be the last class she would ever want to take, I was taken back having a hard time figuring out her rational. I wondered What in the world would make that seem like the most repulsive class? Maybe she doesn't know how relateable the women of the Bible are. Maybe she thinks they are all these perfect women with no desires or ambition. Maybe she thinks the Bible is boring. I have no idea why she thinks that.
But my little experience did give me a desire to expose reality. The women of the Bible are far from perfect and more relateable that we dare imagine. I'm starting a new series I hope brings these ladies into the "me too" light where we can be encouraged and inspired. I know there are a lot of great books written on women of the Bible so I am going to try to take a different spin on it. My hope is for you to feel like you just had coffee with the lady after each devotional and walk away with an area to practically trust God and take steps of faith in.

And why not invite others to journey with us? Will you invite a few other ladies to follow this journey with us? Who comes to mind? Will you send them this link and ask them to follow along. It will be a great thing to talk about together. I will even post some discussion questions for your guys to talk about at the end of each week.
