When we are not regularly sharing the Gospel it's easy to believe the lie that people are not interested in hearing about Christ. But when we take initiative to start spiritual conversations and share the Gospel lies are exposed by the truth as darkness flees from light.
This last week we (along with a great team of staff and students pictured top right- and a cute little band shot of the kiddos) launched a campus ministry in New Mexico. We had a TON of spiritual conversations like this: Lynda was at the cotton candy info table and a couple frat guys walked up and started talking about a small group of street preachers on campus who were yelling at people and calling them whores and telling them they were going to hell. Lynda told the guys not all Christians are like that and started asking them what they believed. She used the Soularium (survey where you use pictures to answer questions) to lead into sharing the Gospel with them. They were interested and engaged in discussion. The main guy she was talking to got a phone call and stepped away but the other asked if they could keep talking through the Knowing God Personally booklet. They continued and he ended up surrendering his life to Christ right there. In the past few days we've seen 22 people put their faith in Christ! Truly the problem is not that people aren't interested, but rather the workers are few, just like Jesus said. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.1 Luke 10:2
We exist to glorify God, to display His heart and character. And I just love how we are all uniquely built to do that. So every Friday I want to give you, uniquely designed by God, an opportunity to link up your thoughts on God, art, baking, photography, parenting, marriage, homeschooling, writing or blogging and more if they tie into or display the Lord somehow.
Here's how it works. 1. Link up as many blog posts as you want below by clicking the link below and following the prompts. (Perhaps think of old posts you want more exposure to as well as new ones.) 2. Let your readers know by including a link at the bottom of your post (or somewhere on your side bar) or paste my button code (found below and on the side bar). 3. Take a minute to visit and comment on another sweet lady or two's post. You're encouragement might be just what she needs to keep pressing on in being a voice in the darkness.

I think I'd enjoy campus ministry. My son is at his first year of university and is coming home for Easter break this weekend. At the primary school near our house, they still have a strong Christian influence there where meetings open with a Bible verse and prayer and I give a Bible class to 4th graders once a week. It's great, because there are nominal Christian kids, Muslim kids, one Hindu, one Buddhist and several born again Christians in my class. Tina - American mom raising 4 kids in South Africa
